Ben Bristow

Ben joined the Marines in 2001 and served 14 years active duty and grew through the ranks of Private to Staff Sergeant. He also completed 6 combat tours, 3 in Iraq and 3 in Afghanistan.

In 2014 Ben moved to Boise, Idaho to open CrossFit Fireside and Fireside Barbell Club. Over the last 3.5 years, Ben and his wife Catie have grown from a two-car garage into a 10,000 sq.ft. facility, boasting the largest CrossFit affiliate and weightlifting club in the state of Idaho.

Dan Fischer

Dan Fischer is the Head Coach for Boise Barbell in Boise, Idaho. He is a USAW Level 2 National Coach and has served on the Idaho LWC Board of Directors since 2015.

Alison RUoff

Alison has been teaching for 15 years with 11 years spent in an all-day Kindergarten program.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Development and Kindergarten from Northern State University.  She has a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and a Master's Certificate in K-12 Online Teaching from Boise State University.  She graduated in May 2018 with her Ed.S.  degree from BSU.  She is originally from South Dakota and has been living in Idaho since 2008.  Alison is a Masters athlete and trains at SRWC in Nampa, Idaho.

Jan Cook currently lives with her husband Nick in North Idaho. She is a native of Idaho and has briefly lived in Washington State. She has worked as a Medical Biller and Coder for the past 20 years. She is a USAW Level 1 Coach and LWC Referee. She has been a member of the Idaho Weightlifting Team and the Calpian Team. She enjoys competing in local competitions and teaching other how to run local competitions. She was Idaho's 1st women University National Champion.

Deborah Hanscom is a two time National Masters Champion (Savannah, GA 2017 and Buffalo, NY 2018) and a World Masters Champion (Barcelona, Spain 2018). She holds the USA National Masters records for the snatch, clean and jerk and total in her age and weight class. She is a member of the Boise Barbell woman’s team who has won the Woman’s Team Competition at the Idaho State Weightlifting Championships for the last 3 years and was 2nd place at the Howard Cohen American Masters competition in Salt Lake City, UT 2018.
