Mission Statement

The Idaho LWC promotes the sport of weightlifting by serving, educating, and empowering athletes and coaches to achieve personal greatness through competition.


Vision Statement

Our vision is for members to have equitable access to high quality coaching, programs, and competitions throughout our jurisdiction which will give athletes and coaches opportunities to better their lives through the sport of weightlifting within their communities.  The Idaho LWC would like to establish sponsorship programs for young athletes to attend Regional and National Competitions with hopes of someday implementing weightlifting programs throughout the state.  


Idaho LWC Bylaws

The Idaho LWC is the registered Local Weightlifting Committee 59 and member of USA Weightlifting Inc.  USAW is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of weightlifting in the United States.


Competition Guidelines and checklist

The Idaho LWC believes that providing athletes within our jurisdiction the highest quality competition setting is paramount and one of the core tenets to our mission and vision for weightlifting in the state Idaho.  In an effort to honor the sport of weightlifting, our parent organization USAW and the IWF, and the athletes who compete, the following guidelines will be enforced at all sanctioned competitions.
